UAE, Oman Clash in Jeddah for Berth in Khaleeji 27 Final

The United Arab Emirates national football team faces Oman on Saturday at Prince Abdullah bin Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah in the semifinals of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27), with both teams competing for the second berth in the tournament final.

 The UAE advanced after topping Group B with seven points, finishing ahead of Qatar on goal difference after two wins and a 1-1 draw with Qatar. The team scored eight goals in the group stage: two each from Nicolás Giménez and Ali Saleh, one each from Luan Pereira, Ousmane Camara, and Guilherme Bala, and an own goal. The UAE is seeking a third title, having lifted the trophy in 2007 and 2013.

 Oman finished second in Group A with four points after a 1-1 draw with Iraq, a defeat against Saudi Arabia, and a 3-1 win over Kuwait. Level with Iraq on all tie-breaking criteria, Oman advanced through a draw of lots. Oman is also seeking a third title, following victories in 2009 and 2017.

 Oman's attack is led by forward Nasser Al-Rawahi, who scored three goals in the group stage, and Musab Al-Shaqsi, who scored the team's other goal.
