Fifth Hail International Arabian Horse Show to Begin Wednesday

The fifth version of Hail International Arabian Horse Show will begin next Wednesday under the patronage of Hail Region Governor Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz. The four-day event will run through October 31 under the supervision of the King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center, with 281 horses representing six countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE, Egypt, and the United States.

The participating horses will compete in beauty show categories for fillies, colts, mares, and stallions. This year's edition has received the international B Show classification from the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO). It will also introduce a championship category for young foals and fillies to support Saudi Arabian horse breeding and encourage owners to broaden participation.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee Muteb Al-Shammari underscored the importance of the Kingdom hosting this international event annually in Hail. He noted that the new international classification reflects the success of previous editions and growing interest in the championship among Arabian horse owners.

He added that introducing the young-horse category aims to support Saudi breeding and sustain its development, amid its growing international presence and increasing interest among Arabian horse owners and enthusiasts.

The accompanying exhibition will also host exhibitors from outside the region, along with specialists in displaying and selling horse supplies and accessories, as well as antiques and collectibles related to equestrianism, catering to the interests of horse enthusiasts and show visitors.
