Saudi Toyota Championship Time Attack Concludes First Day Ahead of Saturday’s Races

The first day of the opening round of the 2026 Saudi Toyota Championship Time Attack concluded this evening at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The championship is held under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF), the championship owner, and is managed by Bakhashab Motorsport in partnership with Jameel Motorsport, the championship’s official partner.

 The round’s program began on Thursday with administrative checks and technical inspections of the participating cars to ensure compliance with approved technical requirements and safety standards, along with a drivers’ photo session. A total of 107 male and female competitors registered for the opening round, 74 of whom passed the technical inspection and are set to compete across 11 categories in addition to the Ladies Cup.

 Yesterday’s activities included a mandatory drivers’ briefing at 5:00 p.m., attended by race officials and stewards, to review competition instructions and regulations. Free practice began at 6:00 p.m., with one session for each category.

 The free practice sessions gave drivers an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the track, test their cars’ readiness, fine-tune their braking points, and determine the best racing line.

 The round continues on Saturday, with the first race starting at 4:00 p.m., followed by the second at 7:45 p.m. Each competitor will seek to set the fastest possible time, with the winners in each category determined by the fastest time recorded across the two race sessions. The round will conclude at midnight with an awards ceremony honoring the winners in the various categories.
