AC MILAN PRESENTS “THE CHAMBER”: WHEN SILENCE GIVES VOICE TO MENTAL WELLBEING

On World Mental Health Day, AC Milan presents The Chamber, a new original series that explores mental wellbeing through the experiences of athletes, opening up a broader reflection on resilience, self-awareness and personal growth.

Sport teaches us that mental strength, much like physical strength, is developed over time. Elite athletes confront pressure, expectations and setbacks on a daily basis, learning how to understand themselves, adapt and move forward. While their experiences are unique, the challenges they face are deeply relatable, especially for younger generations navigating their own paths.

At the heart of The Chamber is a simple idea: remove the distractions and make space to listen. Inside a semi-anechoic chamber, participants are left alone with their breathing, heartbeat and thoughts. Emerging from that experience, they sit down with journalist and podcast host Luca Casadei for an honest and unfiltered conversation about what they felt, discovered and learned.

The series opens with Luka Modrić, who reflects on pressure, expectations and the balance he has built throughout an extraordinary career. Future episodes will feature Kay-Lee de Sanders, Matteo Gabbia, Mario Gila, Yunus Musah, Nadine Sorelli and Paralympian Simone Barlaam, each sharing a personal perspective and adding a new voice to the discussion.

The belief that sport can be a catalyst for positive social change, and a powerful tool in the development of young people, has always been central to Fondazione Milan's mission. Today, that commitment includes a growing focus on mental wellbeing: helping young people build confidence, resilience and self-awareness, while to thrive, while strengthening these foundations before challenges arise.

In September, for the first time, Fondazione Milan dedicated its space on the back of the Club's European competition jersey, produced with Technical Partner PUMA, to The Madhappy Foundation. With the support of UEFA, the initiative brought the message of mental wellbeing to a global audience and highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for open dialogue. This commitment will continue throughout the season through dedicated projects, awareness initiatives and educational activities.

The first episode of The Chamber is available now on YouTube, AC Milan's official website and the AC Milan app.
