Digital Government Authority Governor Concludes US Visit After Productive Meetings

Digital Government Authority (DGA) Governor Ahmed Alsuwaiyan concluded his official visit to the United States, which included a series of fruitful meetings with senior officials from international organizations, prestigious universities, and leading technology companies. The visit aimed to enhance international cooperation in the field of digital government and to gain insights into global best practices, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 towards building a sustainable digital economy.

 As part of the DGA’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships, Alsuwaiyan met with UN Undersecretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua. Separately, Alsuwaiyan held talks with Saudi permanent representative to the United Nations Ambassador Abdulaziz Alwasil to explore areas of collaboration with the United Nations and highlighted Saudi Arabia’s global digital government achievements.

 The DGA governor used his visit to meet with executives of major global technology companies, including Oracle, Cohere, and Amazon. The meetings explored opportunities for expanding cloud-computing adoption in the government sector and utilizing generative artificial-intelligence solutions. Discussions also covered collaboration in computing technologies and digital innovation.

 The visit concluded with a workshop in Washington, organized by the DGA and the World Bank to showcase Saudi Arabia's pioneering experience in digital governance.
