Ministry of Commerce Announces 2026 Sales Season on the 1st of August

The Ministry of Commerce has announced the launch of the 2026 Sales Season, which will run from August 1 to October 31, 2026, and confirmed that commercial establishments can now apply online for sales permits.
 The three-month sales season enables businesses to offer promotional discounts without deducting from their annual discount allowance, while providing consumers with a broader range of offers to compare prices and make informed purchasing decisions.
 The ministry said the electronic licensing service allows commercial establishments and online stores to easily apply for, print, and display discount permits for consumers. Applications for discount permits can be submitted electronically through the ministry's sales portal.
