Red Sea Museum Blends Science, Art, and Cinema
The Red Sea Museum, housed in the historic Bab Al-Bunt building in Historic Jeddah, continues its activities as part of the Jeddah Historic Summer initiative, attracting families and culture and science enthusiasts with interactive programs that blend education, art, and cinema.
"Red Sea Labs" offers children interactive educational workshops based on the STEM methodology through August 29, using experiments to introduce them to the biodiversity and unique characteristics of the Red Sea's marine environment.
The museum's "Sea Cinema" initiative offers families and children interactive film screenings inspired by the world of marine life, including the popular animated film Finding Nemo.
The museum also features "The Gate of Gates," an exhibition by Saudi artist Moath Alofi that photographically documents the Bab Al-Bunt building's architectural memory, showcasing its spaces and the artifacts that remained in its halls before restoration.
The museum is open to visitors free of charge from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
